About Mentor

Adv. Geetika Jain is a highly accomplished legal professional with over 13 years of extensive experience practicing at the High Courts of Bombay and Goa. She is a Notary Public, appointed by the Government of India. A distinguished academic achiever, she is a gold medalist in Law, a silver medalist in her Master of Law, and currently pursuing her Ph.D., reflecting her deep commitment to legal scholarship and excellence.

Her areas of expertise span across diverse fields, including Civil Law, Criminal Law, Real Estate Law, Media and Entertainment Law, and Government Policy. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a remarkable track record of success, including significantly reducing the number of false government litigation cases. She has consistently advised and represented reputed law firms, contributed to the formulation of government policies in Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh, and authored legal articles and columns for The Times of India.

About the Course:


The Two-Credit Certificate Course on Criminal Law and Code of Civil Procedure is designed to offer a comprehensive understanding of two fundamental areas of law: Civil Procedure and Criminal Law. This course aims to equip law students, legal professionals, and enthusiasts with in-depth knowledge of procedural and substantive aspects of civil and criminal laws, including the latest developments under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA).

Scheme of Evaluation:

  • After completion of the course, there shall be a graded assessment based on the overall content of all the course sessions.
  • The graded assessment will be of 50 multiple-choice questions, consisting of 50 marks (1 mark each).
  • A participant can attempt the graded assessment only once.
  • It shall be mandatory for the participants to obtain a minimum of 50% marks in the MCQ test to complete the course successfully.
  • Lastly, the participants must maintain a minimum of 50% attendance overall to complete the course successfully.
  • Only the participants who obtain a minimum of 50% marks in the MCQ test and fulfil the attendance requirement will be awarded the Certificate of Participation.
