Author: Dhruv Bhati Summary The testing process plays an important role inthe criminal justice system and serves as thebasis for determining the truth behind criminalconduct and ensuring that justice is useful. Thisstudy examines methods, challenges andtechnological advances related to criminalinvestigations. It analyzes the role of lawenforcement, forensic and legal procedures incollections, the conservation of evidence, andpresentation of the role. Furthermore, this paperexamines issues such as the bias ofinvestigations, legal restrictions, and the impactof digital evidence in modern cases. Byhighlighting the strengths and flaws within currenttesting practices, the purpose of the research isto propose strategic improvements that improveaccuracy, fairness and efficiency when aimingfor justice. The results highlight the importanceof ethical standards, continuous training andinter-agency cooperation in creating a moreeffective and responsible criminal justice system. Introduction Investigation is the heartbeat of the criminaljustice system. It’s the process of releasing awhisper of fraud if it doesn’t turn into difficultfacts or stop it. Essentially, investigation is anintentional, methodological hunt for the truth,bringing together what happened, who did it, andwhy. In countries such as India, where legalsystems combine colonial roots with modernneeds, this process often begins with a singledocument: the first information report or FIR.It’s not just paperwork – it’s a spark thatilluminates justice and signaling, and vets thepolice and does the job.Fire is not a high concept. It is based on thedaily struggles of victims of those reportingtheft, neighbors grabbing the fight, and evenpolice officers writing the top.
