About the Course:

This course provides practical insights into Cyber Law, Data Protection, Privacy, Cyber Crimes, Digital Contracts, Cyber Security, and AI Regulation through industry-relevant modules and real-world case studies.

Course Modules
This intensive 6-week program comprises 7 comprehensive modules, designed to provide
participants with an in-depth understanding of cyber law, data protection, emerging technologies, and regulatory frameworks. The curriculum blends legal principles, technological advancements, policy developments, and practical industry insights.


Module 1: Foundations of Cyber Law & Legal Framework
● Evolution, significance, and scope of Cyber Law in India
● Information Technology Act, 2000: Key provisions and landmark amendments
● IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 & 2023
● Introduction to the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023


Module 2: Data Protection, Privacy & Global Perspectives
● Comparative analysis of GDPR (EU), CCPA (USA), and DPDP Act (India)
● Consent mechanisms and best practices for data privacy compliance
● AI, mass surveillance, and non-personal data regulation
● Landmark Supreme Court judgments: Justice K.S. Puttaswamy and Aadhaar cases


Module 3: Cyber Crimes & Digital Investigations
● Cybercrimes: Hacking, phishing, ransomware, identity theft, deepfakes, and related
offences
● Emerging cybercrime trends and recent judicial developments
● Legal provisions relating to cyber terrorism, online fraud, and digital extortion
● Investigation mechanisms under the IT Act and Criminal Procedure laws
● Role of CERT-In and cybersecurity directives (2022–2023)


Module 4: Digital Contracts, E-Commerce & Cryptocurrency
● Legal validity and enforceability of electronic contracts in India
● Smart contracts, blockchain technology, and regulatory challenges
● Cryptocurrency and Virtual Digital Assets (VDAs): Regulatory framework and taxation
● SEBI and Ministry of Finance guidelines relating to digital assets


Module 5: Cyber Security & Corporate Compliance
● National Cyber Security Policy and regulatory framework
● Compliance requirements for companies, startups, and multinational corporations
● RBI and SEBI cybersecurity guidelines for banks and FinTech entities

● CERT-In reporting requirements and incident management obligations


Module 6: Artificial Intelligence, Deepfakes & the Future of Cyber Law
● AI and legal liability: Accountability and regulatory challenges
● Deepfakes, generative AI, and emerging legal issues
● Digital evidence, cyber forensics, and admissibility before courts
● Future trends in cyber law: India’s preparedness in a global context


Module 7: AI & Law – Regulation, Ethics & Governance
● Global AI regulatory frameworks: EU AI Act, OECD Principles, and India’s evolving
approach
● Artificial Intelligence and Intellectual Property Rights
● Ethical concerns in AI: Bias, transparency, explainability, and accountability
● AI in legal practice: Legal technology, predictive justice, and smart court systems
● India’s roadmap for responsible and trustworthy AI governance

Duration & Class Timings

The course begins on 18 July 2026  and will go on for 7 week, featuring engaging live classes held two times a week.

Class Schedule:
Days: Saturday & Sunday (weekend classes only)
Timings: 8:00 PM – 9:30 PM (Evening Sessions)
