When used maliciously, AI systems may automate and improve cyberattacks, making them more complex and large-scale. It is difficult to assign blame for these assaults since there are several parties involved, such as developers, operators, and outside suppliers. Although they offer rules for data protection and breach reporting, legal frameworks like the GDPR or EU Cybersecurity Act find it difficult to handle the particular difficulties presented by AI. Accountability behind cyberattacks may move from human actors to AI systems as they become more self-sufficient. To reduce cybersecurity risks associated with AI and guarantee data protection compliance, efficient risk control, transparency, and changing rules are crucial.
